Promoting the ‘No Smoking’ campaign, filmmaker Avinash Tripathi has made a documentary on the same title.
In an attempt to spread awareness against smoking, city-based biggest short filmmaker Avinash Tripathi has made a short silent movie titled, ‘No Smoking’. Tripathi is working as faculty in film studies and also looks after media and public relational at Amity University Rajasthan. Currently he is also working on a Bollywood project with a renowned short filmmaker. The movie is about the day to day life of chain smoker. “Essentially, I wanted to show how much smoking can affect people’s lives and how deadly the results can be. I have seen many youngsters smoking rigorously and for some it is even a fashion statement” says Tripathi. “No Smoking”, is a short film and me with its production and shooting. The documentary starts with the man smoking, while the last scene shows smoke emitting from candles placed in front of the his dead body.
